Gene by Sis

smaller

The San Francisco band Sis have just released their fourth single for their upcoming album EUPHORBIA. It’s called “Gene” and it’s fantastic.

The idea for the track was inspired by a youthful friendship in New York City that tiptoed towards romance, but never quite coalesced. “I liked looking back on that ‘what if’ with nostalgia, acceptance, and a bit of sadness,” says frontwomen, Jenny Gillespie Mason. “[It creates] a kind of love song around that unrequited “okay-ness” of what is and what is not.”
